Join ARCS at Robert Mann Rugs in Denver, Colorado, October 19-23, 2021, for a whole week of incredible content with the biggest names in the industry! The week kicks off on Tuesday and Wednesday with an ARCS class on Finishing Processes by Robert Mann’s own Quality Control Manager, Andrija Malbasa. Thursday through Friday, October 21 – 22, is the official event, Rug-A-Palooza! Saturday we’ll be getting back on the wash floor for BYOB (Bring Your Own Boots).
Tuesday & Wednesday, October 19-20 – ARCS Finishing Course:
Rugs coming out of the dry room are not ready to head home to the customer. Andrija will lead this two-day, hands-on course teaching proper evaluation of a rug’s condition, assessing what finishing processes are needed and then demonstrating the finishing processes themselves. This includes, but is not limited to, specialty stain removal, fringe treatment, pile grooming, topical color run treatments, residual dust removal, shape issues and wrinkles. These final steps will take your end product from acceptable to excellent.

Andrija Malbasa; Andrija was born and raised in Croatia. With the civil war in the 1990s his family fled to Serbia and later in 2000 immigrated to the United States. He worked as a sales floor manager at Target prior to joining Robert Mann Rugs in 2004. While he began as a driver, he helped with a variety of tasks around the facility. Showing an ability to quickly pick up different skill sets he was later asked to stay at the shop where he has learned and refined multiple skills, washing, finishing, and blocking rugs, finely rising to the level of Operations and Quality Control Manager. He has enjoyed working with Robert on a variety of projects over the years for private collectors and museums, expanding his knowledge of oriental rugs and Navajos.
